African Family Services will conduct a three-day Train the Trainer Program in Bendigo. Participants will be paid a stipend of $100 per day for their attendance. The dates are Thursday 18th May, Friday 19th May and Saturday 20th May.

The Train the Trainer program will educate community leaders across African-Australian communities to engage in reflective conversations to address attitudes, practices and gender inequality that drives violence against women and children. Community leaders participation in this project will provide the opportunity to discuss the issue of family violence within their community.
African Family Services will facilitate a 3 day program. The dates are Thursday 18th May, Friday 19th May and Saturday 20th May. These are full day session, running from 9am – 4:30pm. A $100 stipend per day will be provided to compensate for the participants time.
Community Leaders are encouraged to attend, and reach out to African Family Services if they are interested. RSVP by Friday, 5 May 2023.

There is an online self-paced family violence prevention and reporting module to be completed prior to the commencement of the training sessions. A $100 stipend is available for completing the online module prior to the training.
To be part of the program, you must commit to attending all 3 in person training days as well as completing the online module.

This training promotes healthy relationships within the communities you work with and participants are supported throughout the journey.
