Greater Shepparton City Council proudly presents the overwhelmingly popular local Christmas family tradition, Carols by Candlelight at Queens Gardens on Sunday 19nd of December, 2019, from 6:30pm – to 9:30pm
On Sunday December 19, Shepparton’s Queens Gardens will once again come alive with the merry sounds and joyful smiles of Christmas.
The night promises to be spectacular with the return of various local performers and entertainers who will showcase a mix of contemporary and traditional Christmas carols.
There will be a full program of everyone’s favourite holiday songs performed by talented local artists. Carols by Candlelight is a free event for the community with food and drink available for purchase on the day.
Please help keep our community safe and sanitise or wash your hands on arrival and throughout the evening and please do not attend if you are feeling unwell. While masks are not mandatory, we encourage the community to still have them on hand and wear them if you are unable to physically distance. Please bring chairs, cushions and rugs to allow for a comfortable evening. Organisers encourage people to come dressed in bright, festival outfits. Residents can even purchase glow in the dark merchandise and glow sticks at the event. Food vendors will also be available throughout the night.
ROAD CLOSURE – Nixon Street will be closed between Welsford and Wyndham Streets from 4pm to 10pm on the event day. Speed limit reductions will also be in place on Welsford and Wyndham Streets changing from 60kmph to 40kmph
It is a free community event and everyone is invited to attend this wonderful celebration!
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own rugs, cushions and low lying chairs, along with insect repellent.
There will be food available to purchase at the event, but everyone is welcome to bring a picnic basket along.
Carols by Candlelight is a alcohol free event.
