The Australian Fatwa Council has received several queries in relation to taking the COVID-19 vaccination and booster shot while fasting in the month of Ramadan.
According to medical experts and advise, the COVID-19 vaccine does not contain any nutrients and since it’s not taken orally it will not break your fast.
In relation to undergoing a COVID-19 test, this also does not break the fast regardless of whether that test is done through the nose or mouth. This also applies to RAT, the Rapid Antigen Test.
