Ballarat: World Interfaith Harmony Week

The Ballarat Interfaith Network in collaboration with the City of Ballarat will invite you to participate in their observance of World Interfaith Harmony Week on Monday, 5 February, 2018.

The First UN World Interfaith Harmony Week was celebrated in the first week of February 2011. Since then, it has grown to a world-wide event with fulsome support from the nation that proposed this in the United Nations General Assembly. The King of Jordan now grants a prize to the most worthy interfaith event conducted during World Interfaith Harmony Week.

In Australia, World Interfaith Harmony Week has been observed in Parliament House – NSW, Parliament House – Victoria and Parliament House Canberra, to name a few. There have also been observances of this week of interfaith harmony in South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia and Queensland. Once again Ballarat Interfaith presents the World Interfaith Harmony Week observance in collaboration with the City of Ballarat:
