In the spirit of building friendship across communities the Buddhist Council of Victoria has collaborated with the Australian Intercultural Society to arrange an Iftar dinner at the Vietnamese Quang Minh Buddhist temple in Braybrook on Monday night, 5th of August 2013.

In the spirit of building friendship across communities the Buddhist Council of Victoria has collaborated with the Australian Intercultural Society to arrange an Iftar dinner at the Vietnamese Quang Minh Buddhist temple in Braybrook on Monday night, 5th of August 2013.

The Iftar Dinner is the meal that marks the breaking of the fast during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

The event was attended by more than 100 representatives from BCV member temples as well as government, interfaith and the Muslim community leaders.

This event has been organised to provide guests the opportunity to experience and understand the practice of fasting that is practiced by millions of Muslims around the world, young and old, but also enable guests to expand professional networks across cultural and religious boundaries.
