Julian Burnside QC will headline an event in Shepparton this month celebrating the 10th anniversary of community group Voices of Harmony. His topic is “Yes to Multiculturalism“. The event is fully booked out, and no more bookings are available.
Event coordinator Camuran Abanoi shared, “I imagine he will talk about the positivity behind saying yes to multiculturalism, sharing cutting-edge evidence-based views that he has”.
Voices of Harmony was founded in 2007, with a committee formed with the aim of being a leader in creating an accepting and inclusive community in Shepparton. Former Police Prosecutor Sgt. Gordon Porter was a driving force behind the formation of Voices for Harmony.
Voices for Harmony are a group that is proud to live in Shepparton because there are so many people who contribute to making Shepparton and Greater Shepparton a harmonious and cohesive society.
A local music performer will entertain the crowd before Monsignor Peter Jeffrey shares and talks about the history of multiculturalism here in Shepparton.
The event is fully booked out and those participating will be inspired by the multiple dimensions of multiculturalism under discussion.
