Harmony Day celebrations at GV Health will centre around fabrics and sewing the word UNITY into many fabrics in the mother tongue of each community group. Sewing activity will take place on Monday, March 16 and Friday, March 20, during Cultural Diversity Week.
We would love for community members to come down on Monday 16th March or Friday 20th March to sew/glue pieces of their cultural heritage into the word UNITY – which has been printed on a large canvas. We will be there to help everyone do the task and for those that still want to participate we also invite them to write the word UNITY in their mother tongue around the word UNITY.
We are excited to see the end results of this project as it will be framed and become a permanent art piece in the Community Health @ GV Health building. Please spread the word and look forward to seeing you all participate!
