Multicultural Youth Forum

The Victorian Multicultural Commission will conduct a Multicultural Youth Forum in Shepparton on Wednesday, 25 February 2015.

The Multicultural Youth Forum is a part of the VMC’s Annual Community Consultations. The Victorian Multicultural Commission wants young people (16-25 years) from all cultural backgrounds to share their experiences, opinions and ideas about multiculturalism and tell us how the Victorian Government can help to make it work better.

The Victorian Multicultural Commission is the main link between government and cultural and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in Victoria.

Every year the Victorian Multicultural Commission holds a series of state-wide consultations to determine the needs of Victoria’s diverse communities.

The information gathered at the community consultations is then fed back to government departments.

The Victorian Multicultural Commission knows that young people’s voices are important and should be heard.
