Immigration Museum: Community Consultation 2015-16

Are you or a family member a migrant who arrived in Australia by ship and disembarked at Port Melbourne? Multicultural Arts Victoria is interested in hearing your story for possible inclusion in an upcoming arts project. Meet the curator and learn more at the Immigration Museum, Flinders St, Melbourne on Saturday 26 September.

Multicultural Arts Victoria is thrilled to support the development and presentations of a project entitled ‘2015-16 What Happened at the Pier #2’ curated by Lella Cariddi.

The project honours the memories of immigrants and refugees who travelled to Australia by ship through the historical entry points of Port Melbourne’s piers.

It was first presented as part of MAV’s 2015 Piers Festival at Princes Pier with satellite exhibitions and events at the Emerald Hill Library & Heritage Centre, St Kilda Library and East Melbourne Library.

The project is envisaged to continue in 2015-16 as a rich narrative experience showcasing stories across multiple artistic formats together with forums and performances.

You are invited to come along to this Information Session on how to participate in ‘2015-16 What Happened at the Pier #2’.
